This is an exceptionally clean example for its age and is in excellent overall condition. The top, back and neck are remarkably clean, and the rosewood fretboard is beautiful — dark, smooth and freshly conditioned. There is one small cosmetic blemish on the side of the body, but otherwise this guitar presents extremely well. It has been thoroughly cleaned, conditioned, freshly restrung with a new set of black nylon strings, and set up. The fret ends were also lightly dressed and smoothed for a more comfortable feel. The action is comfortable, intonation is excellent, and it plays extremely smoothly. Most importantly, it sounds fantastic. It sounds beautiful played fingerstyle or traditionally, but it also sounds great with a pick. You definitely don’t have to be a classical or Spanish-style player to enjoy this guitar — rock, blues, chord work or just sitting around making music are all a lot of fun on it. The compact 3/4-size body and smooth nylon strings make it extremely comfortable and easy to play. It’s a great couch guitar, travel guitar, or simply a fun, comfortable instrument to pick up whenever you feel like playing. This is definitely not just a kids’ guitar. It has an exceptionally comfortable, easy-playing feel for a dreadnought, and the guitar responds beautifully to both chords and individual notes. It has been set up for comfortable playability and sounds full, clear, and lively. Condition For a guitar built in 1982, it presents beautifully and shows honest cosmetic wear consistent with its age. There is one small superficial crack on the top, limited to the surface layer and not extending through the wood. It is stable, does not affect the structural integrity of the guitar, and has no noticeable impact on its tone or playability. Clear close-up photographs are included. There is also a small cosmetic blemish on the front of the guitar, just below and to the side of the sound hole. It is shown clearly in the photos. This amp has been thoroughly cleaned and serviced. Pots, switches and jacks were cleaned, the chassis and cabinet were cleaned, and two EL84 power tubes were replaced with new JJ EL84/6BQ5 tubes after one original tube was found to have lost vacuum. It has been extensively play-tested since servicing and is working properly. The original volume-drop issue has not returned. Sounds excellent — big, warm, punchy tube tone with plenty of volume and a very usable clean-to-driven range.
